Fuel price hike: “We complain, but we never take action. Somehow, we always find a way to get by,” actor Kunle Remi remarked after spending N98,000 on petrol.

In a video posted on Snapchat, Kunle reflected on how, despite the rising fuel prices, Nigerians continue to find ways to cope.

“I’ve come to the conclusion that no matter how outrageous things get in Nigeria, we always find a way to survive. Yesterday, I spent N98,000 on fuel to fill up my tank. I haven’t fully recovered from that, but I’ve realized that no matter how high prices go, or what happens, there will always be traffic—plenty of cars on the road. Fela said it best, ‘suffering and smiling.’ So we complain but do nothing about it. Welcome to Nigeria.”
