A man was apprehended attempting to escape to Niger Republic following the killing of his friend in Kano.

The Kano State Police Command operatives have apprehended Abba Garba, also known as “Dan ‘Kuda,” a suspected notorious thug, for allegedly murdering his friend. Garba, residing in Dorayi quarters, was caught attempting to escape to Niger Republic after purportedly slitting Zaharaddeen Iliyasu’s neck. The command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident on Sunday, March 31, 2024, attributing the offense to a minor misunderstanding between them. Police surveillance has intensified in the Dorayi area due to escalating thuggish activities endangering the community’s harmony.
